'Is that me?', the mirror in-front, did not respond. But its obvious that the answer is right in-front. An obese body almost covered the whole mirror.
4 years ago, things were very different. There lived an young and fully energetic Abhi. Once he got his masters degree, and a computer to work on, his body became fragile. No evening cricket matches, no regular food timings, and no physical exercises.
The mirror gazed at me again. Tired eyes, lost hairs, face full of fat, and yet clearly visible wrinkles (like that of Pierce Brosnan) on the forehead.
"Change the mirror now", said the humorous self.
Now I looked at it. Same old mirror. Nothing has changed since 4 years, except the old frame, covered with new dust. One should consider its promptness in reflecting the present. No hidden business; No double games.During the past 4 years, I did notice, it neither showed my past nor the future.
"No need to change it, Change yourself", said the logical self. It also left me with 2 choices. One, forget the past as well as the future, and live the present; Two, learn from the past, ignore the present, frame the future.
I combed my hair and smiled at the mirror. It promptly returned a smile.
