Verity 1 - Routine

Every morning when I wake up, the first thing I see is my cell phone; of course to switch the alarm off. It is dificult to have a walk, as the clock aready is past 6:30. Leaving it for the next day, I took a quick look at the newspaper. 'Brothers and sisters from Pak', read the headline and a photo under it showing Finance minister deliver his speech in the inaugural speech of 'Aman ki Asha', another indo-pak business tie up program, in order to bring peace between the two neighbours.

I was quick to remember that I saw a cockroach in my bedroom last night. Immediately I left the paper and took the broom and got into my room. After a rigorous search I found one behind the wardrobe. I murdered it on spot and put the same in Dustbin.

'Ek cockroach mera ghar ghandha kar raha tha, maine use saaf kar diya'. After all I'm not a congress government party official to keep it alive and feed it like they are doing with Afzal and Kasab. I don't need any votes either, it's my house and no Arundathi Roy or Anathamurtys can question me for what I did.

I doubt the patriotism of these congress party leaders. They simply need vote banks and the power and for that they divide people and blame the opposition for communal disharmony!

Supreme court upheld the death sentence of Afzal a long ago and still he is alive while we have no reason to keep him alive. No Indian needs him alive except these Congess party leaders.

'I'll never vote for congess in my entire life', I pledged. But today all party leaders are nevertheless the same. I feel sorry to tell you that I voted for one Mr. Halappa.

It is 7 already, and no more time to go through the paper again. While I was about to enter the bathroom, power went off. 'Damn the government', I muttered. Not enough light inside the room. Though I'm familiar with where the tap, bucket, soap and my body were situated, I looked for a solar lamp, and thank God, I got one.
